Industry Spotlight: Presidio Strengthens AWS Partnership with New Industry-Vertical Practice for Telco, Media & Entertainment, Gaming, and Sports Customers

TMEGS_Blog

Presidio has signed a Strategic Collaboration Agreement (SCA) with Amazon Web Services (AWS), paving the way for transformative growth across vertical industries. A key element of this partnership is the creation of specialized, industry-focused teams, with the Telco, Media & Entertainment, Gaming, and Sports (TMEGS) vertical leading the charge.

Under the guidance of Roger (Rog) Sherwood, the TMEGS team aims to accelerate AWS solution adoption across these industries. Rog brings over two decades of experience in the world of TMEGS, including his five-year tenure at AWS, where he led the development of innovative solutions and established best practices for a global clientele in the M&E Professional Services (ProServe) organization.

“I am delighted to announce that Rog has joined Presidio to lead our AWS Practice for TMEGS – as we scale our business into 2025,” said Presidio Vice President, Digital Services Andres de Corral. “Rog’s multifaceted experience reflects his ability to drive success in rapidly growing organizations, making him a valuable asset for our customer and partner facing teams.”

The TMEGS team will focus on building AWS-powered solutions tailored by Presidio to combine leading cloud technologies with full lifecycle expert services. The initial areas of focus include:

  • Intelligent Search and AI-Powered Video Archives: Transform video archives into an intelligent, searchable resource that identifies and surfaces key moments automatically.
  • Live Broadcast and Streaming Operations: Efficiently monitor and manage mission-critical video resources at scale.
  • Video Data Lake: Scaling cloud storage that organizes, processes, and analyzes vast amounts of live and historical video content.
  • In-Stadium/Arena Game Notifications: Enhance the official, player, and fan experience during live events by delivering real-time updates, alerts, and interactive content.

We are actively hiring and standing up additional vertical teams – stay tuned for more announcements.

Connect with Rog on LinkedIn or reach out to our team for more information. The TMEGS team will be at the National Association of Broadcasters conference in April – more details to follow in early 2025!
